Lindsey believes that the key to long-term success in soccer lies in building a strong foundation at an early age. He takes pride in creating an environment where players can grow in confidence, master the fundamentals, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
Experience
Lindsey owns a wealth of soccer experience and a true passion for youth development that he brings to Grasshoppers FC. A standout High School player at Columbus Academy, Lindsey capped off his prep career with top honors, including OHSAA Division III State Player of the Year and NSCAA Great Lakes Region All-American recognition during his senior season.
He continued his playing career at Yale University (2001–2004), where he earned Ivy League Honorable Mention each year—except in 2002, when he had a breakout season. That year, Lindsey led the Ivy League in goals and points, as he earned First-Team All-Ivy, Second-Team All-New England, and was named Team MVP by the Yale coaching staff.
Following his college career, Lindsey pursued his medical degree from Ohio University and now practices radiology in Central Ohio. Despite his demanding profession, he remains deeply involved in the game. He currently coaches the Grasshoppers 2016 team and also contributes to Columbus Futsal Academy, helping young athletes improve their technical skills and understanding of the game.
